Cubs is for young people, Boys and Girls, usually aged between eight and ten and a half years old. They belong to the second section in the Scouting family. Our Cubs meet at 7.00 pm on Thursday, and are very active in the District.

There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform. Cubs can gain the Chief Scouts Silver Award – several of ours have done this!

Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm.  Recently the Cubs have been to the theatre to see a production of Jungle Book and also been to Safeside to learn about personal, home and road safety. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities.

In Sutton Coldfield West, we have a number of competitions and events that we do, including District Cub Camp. And we camp on our own, with our own leaders.
